If you are an affiliate of Amazon.com, you probably know that the base payout on most products is 4%.
Below is a chart of base commission payouts for WalMart.com….which are substantially higher.
If you promote Amazon.com on your site…could Wal-Mart make you more money? Maybe…maybe not. The shopping experience on WalMart.com is good, but not great….and their shipping costs can be a bit unpredictable. Some consumers are very anti-Wal-Mart, but I’d guess most people would opt to buy from Wal-Mart if their total purchase cost including shipping was consistently cheaper than Amazon.com. Hmmmm. Any opinions on this?
