A couple of months ago I began using Google Analytics (formerly Urchin) on one of my websites, and I must say I have been impressed. In the past I have used several different analytics providers: Omniture, WebTrends, AWStats, etc.. It is pretty hard to beat the price on Google Anaytics: free! I have used it to analyze visits, pageviews, traffic sources, geographic data, content viewed, conversion statistics, and a lot more. My expectations for Google Analytics were pretty low (only because it is free), but I would say it definitely compares to the companies that charge fees for theirs. If you have a large website and are in need of more advanced or specific features/functionality/support, Google Analytics might not be for you - but for anyone running a smaller size website it could definitely be a viable solution. Well, if you don’t mind sharing your website data with Google ![]()

(It’s a good thing I’m not using it for anything too important.) A quick search on Technorati uncovered some information…and it looks like Google Finance was also down for a while, but I just tried a GOOG quote and it worked for me. [...]
