Now that News Corp. will acquire Dow Jones…

Shares of Dow Jones & Co. edged closer to the $60 level Wednesday after the company agreed to be acquired by News Corp. in a deal valued at $5.6 billion, giving Rupert Murdoch a hard-fought victory and long-sought control of The Wall Street Journal and the New York-based media company’s other prominent publications.

I can only hope that the folks at News Corp. will make WSJ.com totally free to access. The fact I have to login to WSJ.com (with a paid subscription, mind you) just seems totally asinine. Seriously, it drives me nuts! (and doesn’t make sense)
