This is the first presidential election where many candidates have their own Internet “tv stations” in the form of videos on their websites…some examples:
Also…search for any candidate on a site like YouTube and you’ll find hundreds of results. During the last presidential election the big buzz was on blogs (this time around blogs are still very important) - but during this election voters will have access to video of presidential candidates like no other time in history. Every mistake, every speech, every move they make, everything they do that is (or has ever been) caught on film…will all be available 24/7 for the world to see online. Fortunately for the current crop of candidates, video was not widely used in their teenage and college years like it is today. One wild night of partying caught on video could cripple a campaign…just think if we had video of Bill Clinton when he “didn’t inhale”?
