Email Marketing For Local Businesses

February 8th, 2007 · 1 Comment

I saw this post that lists some ideas for attracting more business for your restaurant…and it got me thinking…how many of my favorite local businesses have an email list? Very few. It would be so easy for most any local business to request an email address in different creative ways, and I’d guess most regular patrons of a local business would be happy to trust the business with their email. (I would.) Email services like Constant Contact and VerticalResponse make it fairly easy for a local coffee shop, hair salon, pet store, bar, etc.. to run a professional email marketing campaign….so if you’re reading this and own a local biz that does not “do” email marketing - what are you waiting for?  ;)

Hey Todd - Thought you’d also like to know about EMMA email marketing (myemma.com). They are perfect for small businesses ’cause they are so easy to use and inexpensive. We use them for many clients and love how fast we’re able to get our clients in their customers’ in-boxes.
