Create Your Own Social Network

Ning has finally made their service availble to “anyone”…which means a lot of new niche social networks will be popping up on Ning.

Ning is the only online service where you can create, customize, and share your own Social Network for free in seconds. You can make it public or private and for anything - and anyone - you’d like.

It’s completely free, and Ning offers a la carte upgrades like the ability to add your own Google Adsense code for $20/month, and domain name aliasing for $5/month.

Keeping the service free at the beginning seems really important. I really like the idea of being able to start-up a social network at no cost and then upgrade it if it takes off.
