Bikes Are So Hot Right Now

Bikes are so hot right now. Seriously! Have you noticed several news articles lately that have discussed the popularity of bicycles…ok maybe you haven’t. In that case, this chart (also seen below) pretty much sums it up. Why are bicycles so popular? Well, high gas prices, increased eco-friendly sensitivity, and obesity concerns are some big factors. People, especially Americans, seem to be trending towards using bikes more for commuting, exercising, and for short trips around town. Yeah! Also, in Asia (especially China) electric bicycles have become much more popular as a step-up from traditional bikes.

The recent popularity of bikes didn’t have all that much to do with it…but I am super excited to officially have entered the bicycle business! (but the popularity certainly can’t hurt right?) You can read my story here. It’s a brand new shop/brand so things will develop over time…! Slow and steady wins the race. ;) Look for more new products in the coming weeks/months. To the handful of friends/people out there who actually read this blog on a regular basis, and the other folks who are reading this, consider yourself hooked up with a big discount if you want a bike!
