Why don’t websites like ZipRealty.com and Redfin.com cut affiliates in on the home sales commissions? (rather than just pay on leads or whatever, as many real estate affiliate programs do) If an affiliate could make even 0.25% on the sale, that could be thousands of dollars on many home sales. ($1,250 on a $500k home) Plus, imagine if an affiliate made that 0.25% on a sale like this. I think just the chance of snagging a sale like that (or even 1/10 its size) would get a whole lot of affiliates promoting their offer. Seriously, I think an aggressive commission structure for an affiliate program on a site like Redfin could really help it take off…no?
