I’ve been using this keyword research tool a bit lately without even realizing it! Sometimes I need to know what some of the highly searched for keyword terms are in a specific niche. There are many times when it is helpful to know the 5-10 most popular keyword phrases related to a root keyword…and plenty of other times when the information is just interesting to know. It is also a super helpful feature as you’re searching the Internet for just about anything, since it gives you suggestions for alternate searches.
The google search box in the Firefox browser can report the top keyword phrases that begin with an entered keyword according to Google Suggest. For example, if you enter “New York”, you’ll see popular keyword phrases that begin with “New York”. I pasted a screenshot below…

This type of “5 second” keyword research probably won’t be terribly useful if you’re trying to build out a full blown keyword campaign or do some extensive niche keyword research, so if you need to do in-depth research, I recommend you use a more robust keyword tool. (Wordtracker, Keyword Discovery, and KeyCompete are all excellent tools)
